Ugly is the new pretty

Looks like we consumers respond more favorably to commercial images that look like “us.” This is all fine and good except when we are talking about politicians. I don’t want a politician that’s like me or worse (cheaters!). I mean, I get the product advertisement stuff. I am skeptical of anything that looks “too good.” But there is a line to be drawn. I don’t need clear skin or every hair in place. But I do want that car to be cleaner than mine and I do want the people making the rules to be smarter than me. Much.

it depends if the person is ugly when his or her attitude is positive that makes a ugly person pretty. But god created us to be pretty and beautiful. each one has unique characteristics in live.

Well, I hate to be a downer, and I believe that someone’s attitude can make them *more* attractive, but I’m not down with the rest of that. And commercials aren’t really made to show peoples’ true personalities since they are usually just actors.

I don’t begrudge anyone their religious beliefs. But it’s not really relevant here.

I hear what you’re saying, and I agree in principle, but reality doesn’t always work out that way. So much so that I would prefer you to most of our politicians…

Ew! I would be the worst politician ever! In fact, I am pretty sure that I ruined any chance of becoming a politician with some of my antics in college 🙂

How about wanting out politicians to be normal people only smarter? I could be convinced to compromise!
