Ooh, I love Chicago, but…

this truly tests my trust in engineering.

Preparations to throw-up have begun from 1500 miles away.

I’m from Chicago yet I’ve never been to the top of the Sears Tower. Oh well, why break a streak.

I was in town the day this opened, and thought about going but didn’t make it. A pretty crazy idea.

I heard about this a while ago; I’ll have to go up and check it out!

    Cheers….

RB – I’ve been and the ride up just about made me lose it.

    Michael- indeed!

Todd – please report back if you do!

i went up there!  it was really awesome.  it was packed, but it was the 5th of july, so i was expecting it.  i am typically terrified of heights (i can’t even use a step-ladder without feeling anxious), but something about it seemed really awesome and safe.  i sort of wish that they were on the north or east side of the building, though…but i suppose half of the attraction is being so high above the street.

    Josh,

what side of the building are they on? If it’s the west side, that is a little boring, unless they want a scenic view of Oakbrook.

up on the "willis tower" skydeck ledge today.  yes, as of thursday morning willis UK takes over the name, bye bye sears. holy *&!%* it’s scary.  too bad it’s only facing west right now though (north and/or east would be better view).  heather, this is amazing, somewhere between orgasmic and terrifying…)  for those that have been and those that will figure it out, chicago is the best city in the world, sorry seattle.
