Chicago coolness...Go Bears!

Many of you know I moved to the Seattle area from Chicago. Back when I was in high school, there was quite a frenzy around the Bears going to the Super Bowl. I may or may not feel a little left out this year. Nobody seems to be "shufflin' on down....doin' it for you". It's scary how many verses of the Super Bowl shuffle I can recall (I'm the fridge and I'm the rookie, I may be large but I'm no dumb cookie). Chicagoans get into their sports, see?

Thanks to Steve Rubel's blog for the great picture/post. More photos from the Tribune here. And here is how they did it. The "sunset red" building, CNA Center, which is pretty easy to pick out of daylight pictures of the Chicago skyline, is the one on the left of this photo, featuring the "Go Bears" script. It's also the building I used to work in. I was on the 31st floor and I think there are 34 total. My "office" (pretty much everyone except Directors and VPs had cubes) was on the other side of the building, facing the Sears tower. This was probably my favorite office location ever. During the summer, Taste of Chicago was pretty much right outside our door. We were a block away from the Art Institute and great restaurants and shopping were all around, plus a fantastic view of the lake on one side, the skyline to the west on the other (on a clear day, I could see out to Oak Brook). Plus the blue line was a straight shot into the office. OK, I am missing Chicago a little but today as I am cheering on the Bears in the big game. Go Bears!
