Minty fresh and highly caffeinated

What happens when you combine 100 liters of diet coke and 500 Mentos.

I really hope that the Coke marketing folks didn’t say what BL Ochman says they said. Seriously, if I was selling caffeinated, sugared water at a premium and someone offered to market it as something to bathe your dog in, and they offered to do it for free? Oh yeah, you better believe I’d be all over it.

You gotta love the Mentos people. How can the folks that made up “The Freshmaker” be wrong? Still my favorite marketing phrase for the sheer simplicity and ridiculousness. Long live Mentos. I miss sugar.

    I wrote "Coke’s dark-ages marketing people who just don’t get it, **basically** said "we want people to drink our soda, not play with it." It wasn’t a direct quote, but it might as well have been. Like so many marketers, they have absolutely no sense of humor.
