Marketing Manager, GTM Partner Management-Mobile and Embedded Devices Division

Microsoft’s Mobile and Embedded Devices Division Marketing Group (MEDMG) is looking for an experienced product marketer to be the key link between MEDMG and other division product marketing teams to drive cross-division development of Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy and programs.

In this role you will be responsible for identifying how Windows Mobile products can best be brought to market in concert with other Microsoft products and, in particular, creating partner value propositions and offers with Mobile Operators & OEMs that complement these solutions. To do this, you will need to create a clear framework to build partner offers in a scalable manner that helps our subsidiary teams take these to market. You will work directly with our external partners uncovering opportunities to bring value to mobile customers by packaging world class offers in concert with the GTM. You will be the expert on measuring the effectiveness of our partner offers and the impact these marketing programs have on Windows Mobile sales in geographies around the world.

Additionally, you will be responsible for driving MED interaction with other business groups, evangelizing them on the value that mobile devices create for the Microsoft platform story, and working with these others groups to incorporate Windows Mobile products into both Global and Specialized GTMs. You will help other teams understand Microsoft’s overall mobility strategy and how we can drive the overall Microsoft business.

Qualifications include partner management skills, strong product marketing experience, ideally working with the GTM framework, and including subsidiary/field experience. You should be able to demonstrate a history of simultaneously working closely with multiple groups across Microsoft at all levels, leading projects and influencing other groups, collaborating very effectively and driving results across divisions and with subsidiaries, and working with the corporate marketing group (CMG), agency partners, and outside vendors. Candidates must also possess strong written and oral communications skills, 5+ years of experience in marketing, and a proven ability to drive for results. Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in marketing, an MBA and knowledge of the wireless business and international markets would be considerable assets.
