The Mobile and Embedded Devices (MED) Audience Insight and Marketing Group (AIM) is looking for a talented marketer and strategist to help lead our global Windows Mobile Developer marketing efforts. AIM is the marketing and communications arm of the Mobile and Embedded Devices Division -- Microsoft’s smallest yet fastest growing P&L unit. We’re responsible for marketing Windows Mobile for Smartphones, Windows Mobile for Pocket PC, Portable Media Center, Windows CE and Windows XP Embedded to a broad range of audiences. AIM serves a central marketing function within the organization, comprising brand marketing, advertising, online marketing, events, audience-specific marketing, CRM and market research. Windows Mobile Developer Audience Marketing Role:

The Windows Mobile Developer Audience Marketing Manager will turn customer research, insights and business strategies into into high value marketing programs and campaigns. In this role, you will partner with the Windows Mobile Developer and Product Management and Marketing team to develop and implement effective, results-oriented marketing plans and programs to help drive awareness and demand for Windows Mobile among its primary constituents: Corporate Developers, Commercial Developers or ISVs and Business Decision Makers. You will have the unique responsibility of working closely with many marketing disciplines to conceive, define and orchestrate the execution of breakthrough marketing strategies targeting these audiences worldwide.

Primary Responsibilities

- Collaborate with Windows Mobile Developer Marketing, Product Management and Corporate Developer Marketing to drive audience marketing planning, including target market profiling, segmentation, messaging, integrated marketing planning and campaign management (via oversight of agency resources and integration with internal marketing disciplines (advertising, CRM, online, events, PR, etc.)

- Work with and manage agency partners & functional teams (public relations, advertising, direct marketing, online, events, etc) to implement established strategies

- Serve as the primary point of integration of Windows Mobile Developer marketing efforts with other MED marketing efforts and other Microsoft BG marketing efforts to help forge effective MED-wide and Microsoft-wide marketing strategies and best practices

- Take responsibility for driving results and ongoing improvements (ROI, customer satisfaction) for developer audience marketing efforts

Minimum Requirements:

· World-class verbal and written communication skills including the knack for crisply and concisely summarizing key strategies in response to complex scenarios
· Proven ability to effectively lead strategic marketing programs that require integration with diverse marketing disciplines
· Direct experience marketing developer tools
· Significant experience marketing to developers and business decision makers
· History managing global, big budget integrated marketing campaigns
· Proficiency with all primary marketing disciplines

The successful candidate must have at least 8 years experience in product marketing, marketing communications and related disciplines. Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years experience marketing enterprise software. The successful candidate will be highly motivated, scrappy, creative, and entrepreneurial, and deeply committed to helping build a world-class team in a fast-paced environment. Candidates must have a BA/BS degree with an MBA strongly preferred.
