I’m a little behind on blogging, folks. Trying to keep a lot of balls in the air here and unfortunately, the blogging ball landed at my feet sometime last week. So doing a little catching up…
Last week, I attended the launch party for “the Marketing Playbook” by John Zagula and Richard (Rich) Tong. I met John through blogging and was happy to attend the event to witness the excitement of launching this book; which I think is going to be a great success. I’ve read just a bit of it, but Amazon assures me that my copy is on the way!
I’ll review the book once I’ve read it from cover to cover. I’m extremely interested in looking at marketing applications in the recruiting space. Most recruiters sell, but in my role, I market (OK, there’s a little bit of selling in there too…which you know if you’ve met me in person). I’ll share my opinion of how John and Rich’s “plays” can be applied to recruiting.
Although the book isn’t a Microsoft publication, John and Rich both worked here in the past. So if you are interested in seeing how marketing folks at Microsoft think about marketing, you may want to check it out.
