The Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 BETA “CorePlus” Version #2 – 32 Bit Technical Demonstration Toolkit running on Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 HyperV has been released.

This Technical Demonstration Toolkit will include the following technologies/applications (This Technical Demonstration Toolkit is designed for Advanced Management type demonstrations):

  • Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 – BETA
  • Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Enterprise
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2008
  • Microsoft Office 2007
  • Microsoft Management Reporter 2.0 – BETA
  • Microsoft Business Portal 5.0 for Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010
  • Insight/Dashboards
  • Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services Reports
  • Microsoft Office Excel Reports
  • Microsoft Dynamics Workflow
  • Analysis Cubes
  • Microsoft Office Word Forms Integration
  • Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010 – BETA – Integration to External Lists (Requires Microsoft Dynamics GP2010 DC ‘Light-up’ image)

Technical Requirements:

  1. 64-Bit Chipset (BIOS support for virtualization)
  2. Processor: Dual Core (Current Class Hardware)
  3. eSATA Port
  4. Windows Server 2008 R2 Hyper-V
  5. 8 GB of RAM
  6. 300 GB HD Minimum - 7200 RPM Drive (Optional second drive in the laptop for shared spindles)
  7. Optional: external eSATA 7,200/10,000 RPM Drive or Solid State Drive (SSD)

*This Technical Demonstration Toolkit includes all of the features and functionality of the “Core” (Designed for Business Essentials Type Demonstrations) Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 BETA Version #2 Microsoft Virtual PC 2007 SP1 Technical Demonstration Toolkit (released the week of February 22, 2010.)

We will be releasing a Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 BETA “Core” – Version #3 - 32 Bit Microsoft Virtual PC 2007 SP1 and a “CorePlus” Version #3 – 32 Bit Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 HyperV release in April, 2010. This release will include additional refinements over and above the Version #2 “Core” and “CorePlus” releases.

We will then focus on creating a Version #4 of the Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 “Core” – 32 Bit Microsoft Virtual PC 2007 SP1 Technical Demonstration Toolkit and a “CorePlus” – 32 Bit Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 HyperV Technical Demonstration Toolkit all on RTM (Release to Manufacturing) code. This release will be available in June 2010.

*These “Core” and “Core-Plus” Version #2 virtual machines will be utilized for the Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 U.S. Partner Readiness Roadshows

*IMPORTANT: There are NO Demonstration Scripts or “How To Use” documentation for this demonstration toolkit. We WILL be providing demonstration scripts and “How To Use” documentation for the Release to Manufacturing (RTM) releases of the Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 Technical Demonstration Toolkits

*The files that you download will be Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 HyperV Export Files.  You will need to follow the standard Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 HyperV Import Process in order to utilize these new virtual machines.  For additional information regarding the import process, please download and install the attached DemoMate (on the download page.)
