Microsoft supports non-profit IT adoption

Microsoft believes Non-Profit organisations can use technology to achieve even greater outcomes for the communities they serve. To be agile, an organisation requires the right technology, the right processes and willing people, to get the most of every moment.

This is why, each year, Microsoft and its community partners, Connecting Up and Infoxchange, come together to deliver the Connecting Communities IT Days for Non-Profit organisations across Australia. This free event focuses on what organisation can do to drive productivity gains, and spend more time doing what they do best – supporting the community.

This year, for the first time, we ran this event as a roadshow, reaching almost 300 organisations across Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane to discuss technology trends, with a deep dive on cloud computing, given the recent launch of Office 365 for Non-Profits. The meetings also touched on how technology is being used to enhance communication and collaboration.

This year, Microsoft also engaged Heather Mansfield, the principal blogger at Non-profit Tech for Good and best-selling author to run a series of webinars for the local NFPs on how to effectively use social media for greater outcomes.

Connecting Communities is a free annual event, designed for IT Decision Makers (including CEOs) within Non-Profit, charity or community organisations.
