Cybersmart program ‘Tagged’

As a member of the Government's Consultative Working Group on Cyber Safety, Microsoft is pleased to highlight ‘Tagged’, a short film for teenagers that explores themes of cyberbullying, sexting and digital reputation developed by the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) Cybersmart program.

In the film a group of high-school friends post a rumour about a rival which sparks a chain reaction that leaves no one untouched. Tagged is supported by comprehensive teaching resources, lesson plans and classroom activities, as well as ‘hindsight’ character interviews.

‘Tagged’ is a realistic drama for Australian teenagers that explores key questions around the need for personal responsibility online.

‘Tagged’ encourages students to think about and discuss the ethics of online life, including the impact of cyberbullying on others, sexting, digital reputation management and how online actions can all too easily have real life consequences. It aims to teach students the value of making the right decisions before posting material online.
