National Child Protection Week

This week the Australian Federal Police (AFP) released a new ThinkUKnow video highlighting the dangers of texting images. The video was launched to coincide with White Balloon Day and National Child Protection Week.

National Child Protection Week is an initiative led by the National Association for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect (NAPCAN).  The week is an annual campaign that aims to raise awareness that the wellbeing and safety of Australia's children is everyone's responsibility.

White Balloon Day is an initiative established by Bravehearts and forms part of the National Child Protection Week activities.  This day raises awareness and support for victims of child sexual abuse and is the principal fundraising initiative which enables Bravehearts to educate, empower and protect all Australian children.

Microsoft Australia is proud to be a ThinkUKnow partner and working with government and partners to protect children and raise awareness of child abuse.
