    Elevate your skills! In this 2 hour hands-on, online workshop you will be guided through the process of building and deploying a large scale Azure application. Forget about “Hello World”! In less than two hours you will build and deploy a real cloud application that leverages the Azure data center and helps make a difference in the world. In addition to building an application that will leave you with a rock-solid understanding of the Azure platform, the solution you deploy will contribute back to Stanford’s Folding@home distributed computing project. There’s no cost to you to participate in this session; attendees will receive temporary, full-access accounts to Azure for two weeks.

  • CMAP Main Meeting - An Introduction to Microsoft Azure

    What is Random Hacks of Kindness?
    It is an initiative that brings together disaster relief experts and software engineers to work on identifying key challenges to disaster relief, and developing solutions to these critical issues. This Codejam is the second in a series of Random Hacks of Kindness (RHoK) events that will bring the best and brightest together for a "give camp" to solve real world-problems related to Crisis/Disaster Relief.
    We are excited that RHoK #1.0 will be a global event! While the main stage will be in Washington D.C., RHoK will feature simultaneous satellite hackathons on every continent. It will include a keynote reception at the State Department and forty-eight hours of dedicated hacking at Microsoft's offices, followed by an awards ceremony showcasing the winning hacks.
