Thank You, Orlando!

A big thank you to the developer community in the Orlando, Florida area for a great day. I had the pleasure of helping out with the Visual Studio 2010 Launch event yesterday, and folks were great.

Really good turnout, great questions, and a fun time pair presenting with my colleague Joe Healy, followed by some social time with the community at Buffalo Wild Wings, then cigars and more conversation at Cuba Libre, and finally some great live music at B.B. King’s.

A long day, and I’m ready for sleep, but I had a great time, and I’m really glad I was able to make it down for the event.

Keep an eye on (look for the launch event link) for the decks and such which I hope will be posted soon.

Already looking forward to my next opportunity to come down and hang out with the great folks in Florida.

I don’t know how “social” sitting next to me counts, but the conversation at Buffalo Wild Wings was certainly entertaining. I went into the day thinking I might skip the Windows Phone 7 [Series Edition Premium …] talk, but you actually got me halfway interested in the product. At the very least, I might spend a little extra time targeting it if I’m writing an SL4 app anyway.

And it was entertaining watching you and Joe Healy co-present. Should the branding be “HammerFish” or “FishHammer”?

Glad you enjoyed the talk(s). Joe and I had a great time doing "pair presenting." Hopefully, we can do it again sometime.

Also glad to hear that you’re reconsidering on Windows Phone 7. I don’t think you’ll regret that decision.
