Scott "Clippy" Wiltamuth Comes to Richmond (And Northern Virginia!)

Kevin Hazzard has some fun news to share:

Scott Wiltamuth as ClippyWow, what a month for the Richmond, Virginia developer community! In the course of about 40 days, we'll enjoy Alan Stevens, C# MVP appearing at the Chesapeake, Richmond and Charlottesville .NET User Groups, then Carl Franklin and Richard Campbell bringing the .NET Rocks! Visual Studio 2010 Road Trip to the area culminating with the appearance of 45 other excellent speakers coming together for Richmond Code Camp 2010.1 on May 22nd.

As if that weren't enough, Scott Wiltamuth, one of Microsoft's best and brightest on the Visual Studio Languages team is coming to Richmond to promote Visual Studio 2010 and to reach out to the local developer community. If you've ever wished that you could pick up the phone and tell the Visual Studio team exactly how you feel about the tools they make, this is your chance. Except now you don't even have to pick up the phone. If you live in central Virginia, you can just show up for the meeting on April 29th and ask Clippy himself. OK, well I lied just a bit. You can't just show up. You need to register for this event because seating is very limited.

And if you haven't picked up on it yet, that's Scott dressed in a Clippy suit for the launch of Visual Studio 2008 a couple of years ago. What could be better than having Scott show up in a Clippy suit?

The even better news is that Scott will be visiting the Capitol Area .NET User Group that week as well, so it’s not just the Richmond folks who get to have all the fun. Scott will be at CapArea.NET on Tuesday, April 27th. The meeting starts at 7pm.
