Is it already the middle of September? Next week is the official start of Autumn, it’s hard to believe. And with the Fall comes the season of code camps…there are a couple coming up next month, one in Richmond on October 3rd, and another in Reston on October 10th. This session will cover a little bit of many things learned from projects I’ve been working on. We expect every attendee to learn a few tricks that can be applied immediately, and also to feel encouraged to go out and research more on whatever area appeals the most. Besides learning those things, we really hope attendees will start thinking and approaching their code in a different way.
Bio: Claudio Lassala is a Senior Developer at EPS Software Corp. He has presented several lectures at Microsoft events such as PDC Brazil and various other Microsoft seminars, as well as several conferences and user groups across North America and Brazil. He is a multiple winner of the Microsoft MVP Award since 2001 (for Visual FoxPro in 2001-2002, and for C# every since), an INETA speaker, and also holds the MCSD for .NET certification. He has articles published on several magazines, such as MSDN Brazil Magazine, CoDe Magazine, UTMag, Developers Magazine, and FoxPro Advisor.

Kevin Hazzard is currently a Microsoft Visual C# Most Valuable Professional (MVP) and a lead onsultant/architect for CapTech Ventures in Richmond, Virginia. He has served on the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) and as an advisor to Virginia's Joint Commission on Technology and Science (JCOTS). While serving as a senior engineer in the Intel Architecture Lab, Kevin successfully authored patents and designed ciphers, protocols, and peer-to-peer networking components used by millions of users worldwide. Kevin has been writing software for 25 years and loves the art and science of his job as much today as he did in the very beginning.
Kevin is a father to five, a husband to one, and a servant to many others. He speaks a bit of Portuguese and enjoys doing missionary work in South America. He also enjoys motorcycling, welding, hiking, etymology, bird-watching, and friendly discussions about world politics and history.
