Saturday, November 03, 2007 9:00 AM: Silverlight DevCamp DC - SilverlightDevCampDC is an upcoming gathering in the Washington DC area, inspired by BarCamp, to build Silverlight applications. The event is organized by volunteers and Silverlight enthusiasts, with attendance free to all.

Tuesday, November 06, 2007 7:00 PM: CMAP Main Meeting - Jonathan Cogley will be speaking on Agile Estimating and Planning with TargetProcess. Agile projects present several interesting challenges for traditional software planning: * Programming is done in pairs – so task assignment and estimating should follow * Iterations and releases are fast and furious * Trade offs are constant with the highest value tasks always coming first and changing requirements are encouraged * Design, code, test and QA all happen more or less at once Come to this session to learn how a real agile team has been using these ideas and tools to manage the development of a commercial software product.
