The Eagle Has Landed!

Thanks to everyone for their kind wishes and prayers. On Monday of this week, just 15 days after he was born, we were able to bring our son John home from the NICU. By all accounts, this was a remarkably short stay for a child born this early, and I know that we can credit some of that to all of the well-wishers!

John saw his pediatrician yesterday for the first time, and she said everything looks great. So while we'll be keeping visitors to a minimum for a while to limit exposure to colds, etc., it looks like he's doing better than anyone could have expected.

Given the happy outcome, this is probably the last I'll post on the subject, since I try to keep this blog focused on the tech stuff. As noted earlier, I'll be posting only sporadically if at all, for the next month or so, as I'll be on leave with my family.
