Blog hiatus

Hi all,

A quick personal note...I will probably not be posting very much over the next few weeks. My wife and I were blessed this weekend with a new baby boy, our second, and it's a bad news / good news kinda thing. The bad news is that he was in a bit of a hurry and arrived 8 weeks early, so we're going to be spending a few weeks shuttling back and forth to the hospital while he gets himself ready to go home. The good news is that he was pretty big for his age, and has been making excellent progress already, so we're confident that he will be just fine and dandy when all is said and done.

But all that means that blogging will be at the bottom of my list for a while...

If you are so inclined, we would welcome your prayers and/or good wishes. As I said, our son is doing very well already, but it can't hurt, right? 🙂

I'll be back blogging as soon as I can, and I'm sure my son will be demanding a blog of his own as soon as he can reach the keyboard.

  1. Hope he gets to go home soon!  We just had our second child (a son), and while our first child (my daughter) was 19 days early, he was a planned c-section 2 days early, so we’ve been very lucky to have both babies make it to term.

I’m sure you’ll get tons of this kinds of stories, but my cousin had twin boys at 26 weeks (IMHO, very scary early), and they’re doing fine and dandy now.

8 weeks is certainly worrisome, but it sounds like he’s doing well so far, and hopefully he’ll be home very soon!

Congradulations and may your life be filled with happy memories.   I was doing what you are almost 2 years ago to the day, except it was twin girls and 6 weeks early.

    You’ll get through it.

Congratulations! We had a planned 36 week c-section and even then had a collapsed lung – so it’s great news to hear that your new addition is doing well!

  9. Congratulations!  My 2nd child (daughter) was born 8 weeks early too.  She is 7 years old now and I must say, as good as they come!

Glad to hear that he’s doing well!
