The Roanoke Valley .net User Group, and the Roanoke Valley SQL Server User Group will be hosting a summer picnic on August 5th, 2006 starting at 5pm in Salem, VA. Here’s the announcement and directions:
It’s Picnic Time Again
If it is Summer, it must be picnic time and the RV.NUG & RVSSUG Annual Membership Drive Picnic is no exception. In the upcoming months we will leave the confines of the meeting room and venture outside where most computer geeks seldom tread. The picnic will be held at Longwood Park Shelter #5 800 Main Street Salem VA 24153 on Saturday, August 5 at 5:00 PM.
RVSSUG and RV.NUG will provide the hamburgers and hot dogs and a few members on the board will provide the charcoal, plates, forks, spoons, rolls, cheese, mustard and ketchup. Everyone is asked to provide additional food to share with the others. This can include hot or cold side dishes, chips, deserts or anything else you care to make or buy. The more food the better!
There will be no business that night, just plenty of good food and fellowship with family and friends. Remember, this picnic is not just for RVSSUG and RV.NUG members, but feel free to bring your spouse, significant other, children, and especially someone that’s interested in joining our group.
The party is at Longwood Park Shelter #5, 800 Main Street Salem Va 24153.
From I-81 North, take exit 140, then South on Rt. 311/Thompson Memorial.
Go to first stoplight and take left onto Main Street. Park is on the left.
