Our Featured Topic — Understanding Indigo
Indigo is the code name for Microsoft’s new foundation for distributed computing and service-oriented applications. This presentation provides an introduction to Indigo, describing what it is, how it works, and how it fits with existing technologies like ASP.NET web services, .NET Remoting, and Enterprise Services. While some familiarity with .NET is assumed, the target audience includes anybody who’s interested in how software development will look in the coming service-oriented world.
Our Featured Speaker — David Chappell
David Chappell is Principal of Chappell & Associates in San Francisco, California. David has been the keynote speaker for conferences in the U.S., Europe, Latin America, and the Middle East, and his seminars have been attended by tens of thousands of developers and decision makers in thirty-five countries. His books on enterprise software technologies have been published in ten languages and used regularly in courses at MIT and other universities. He is Series Editor for Addison-Wesley’s Independent Technology Guides, and more than 100 of his articles have appeared in various publications. His consulting clients have included HP, IBM, Microsoft, Target Corporation, Stanford University, and others.

Take the Washington Beltway Rte. 495 to Dulles Toll Road west, exit 45A, towards Dulles Airport. Proceed through toll plaza. Exit onto Reston Pkwy, exit 12. Keep right at the ramp and take a right onto Reston Pkwy. At the first light, turn left onto Sunset Hills Rd. Take immediate right into the Two Discovery Square driveway. Park free in surface lot or garage.
From National Airport
Follow signs from airport to I-66 west, take Dulles Toll Road (Rt. 267 west) to Reston Parkway exit (Exit 12). Turn right on Reston Parkway. At first stop light, make a left onto Sunset Hills Rd. Take immediate Right into the Two Discovery Square parking lot. Park free in surface lot or garage.
From Dulles Airport
Follow the Dulles Access Road (no charge) to Reston Parkway exit (Exit 12)
