Richmond.NET User Group

I want to take a minute to thank everyone who came out to see my talk on ASP.NET 2.0 at the Richmond.NET User Group last night.

The good news is that even with all the (good-natured) heckling I got for my mental misfires (I had some trouble remembering a simple thing like how to obtain the current HttpContext for a web app from a component), I had a really great time, and I think the folks who attended did, too. It was a great turnout, and a very nice bunch of folks.

The bad news is that I seem to have lost my bluetooth headset on the way back from Richmond. Probably a direct result of being so quick to show it off after the meeting. Unfortunately, the gas station where I'm pretty sure it popped off my belt clip, hadn't found it as of this morning, so I guess I'll have to make a trip to the mobile phone store. :-(

Next up is the Roanoke Valley .NET User Group, where I'll be talking about MapPoint Web services on April 7th, which is a week from yesterday.

And:

DON'T FORGET! Mid-Atlantic Code Camp is coming...just over a month to go, so register now! We'll be posting session and speaker information soon, so stay tuned!

UPDATE:

I'd also like to thank Frank and Greg for their nice writeups of the meeting. I'm glad that folks enjoyed the meeting as much as I did.
