Just had to pass this along:

They were right about scientific progress, that's for sure!

OK, OK! I've been's a hoax. So it's not true, but I still think it's pretty funny. And a good photoshop effort. Thanks to those who pointed out the hoax, but more comments to that effect. 🙂

PS - Anyone who claims that blogs aren't sufficiently fact-checked deserves to be on the receiving end of a post like this. 😉

    Anyone know what the wheel is for?

    Theory: It is used to steer the house, because in the future all homes are actually submarines. People were forced to lived underwater to avoid the radiation after the 4th world war.

    I know that control panel very well.

    It’s the three control panels panel of a nuclear powered ship.

    On the left, the "Steam Plant" controls (where I used to stand on the USS Skipjack)

    The other two are the Electric Controls, and the Reactor Controls.

    Unless the comments on the pages leading to it are mistaken, the bloke there leaning back with the grin on his face is fiddling with the lever for raising and lowering the control rods.

    Fills me with confidence in our boys at sea, it does. 🙂
