Here are a selection of good technical and deployment resources to ensure customers and partners get the best experience when deploying Forefront Security for Sharepoint (FSS) on an MOSS 2007 (and earlier) platform.

 

1. The Forefront Security for Sharepoint Best Practices guide can be downloaded here (https://www.microsoft.com/technet/forefront/serversecurity/sharepoint/Best_Practices/default.mspx?mfr=true) and it provides excellent (and concise) guidance on how to actually deploy and configure FSS optimally on Sharepoint.

2. The Tech Centre on FSS can be found here (https://www.microsoft.com/technet/forefront/serversecurity/sharepoint/default.mspx) and all of the product documentation is available there for either download or online viewing.

3. The evaluation version of the new SP1 release of FSS can be trialled here (https://technet.microsoft.com/en-au/bb738112.aspx) and I recommend any partner/customer who is looking at the product to download and trial this version, not the pre-SP1. Their experience will be much nicer J
