What to do on a Ney York trip

New York city has a lot to offer to tourists. For an upcoming trip here are the recommendations I got:

1. Empire State Building: the ESB observatory has great views of NY although it still costs ~$20 per person. 
2. The Museums were great
   • The Metropolitan Museum of Art
   • The Museum of Modern Art
   • The Guggenheim Museum of New York
3. The Nuyorican Poets Cafe on 236 East 3rd Street, is a uniquely NY experience on a Friday
4. The Comedy Cellar: another great experience if you like stand-up comedy
5. Times Square
6. Broadway: catch a show
