Microsoft Releases V2.0 JDBC Driver CTP

At the SQL Server User Group tonight a number of questions were asked around JDBC, specifically related to  performance so I popped over to the Microsoft JDBC Team Blog to see if there was any news on the V2.0 JDBC drivers and sure enough I missed last months release of the JDBC v2.0 January 2009 Community Technology Preview release.

Having only limited experience with JDBC in general I cant comment on the performance of the V2.0 CPT when compared with currently released drivers but it may be worth a more detailed look. Generally speaking performance comparisons on pre-release code is ill advised and should not be taken in anyway indicative of the expected performance characteristics of the final shipping code.
