I previously posted a note about the SQL Server Enterprise Architecture Summit (SEAS) event held in Durban which I attended towards the end of last year. During one of the sessions at this event Thomas Kejser walked us through the process and thinking involved in achieving the ETL world record as announced earlier last year in which 1TB TPC-H data was loaded in under 30 minutes.

Well now Thomas and the SQLCAT team have released The Data Loading Performance Guide which walks you through this very same experience in an accessible and easy to read format. Well worth a read for anyone interested in improving the performance of the the data warehouse load.
