Free 64bit PDF iFilter from Adobe

Somehow I missed this news late last year.

Adobe has finally released a 64bit version of it’s PDF iFilter for Microsoft Office SharePoint Server and Microsoft SQL Server.

The guys over on the Filter Central blog did some performance testing comparing the 32bit  Adobe and FOXIT and posted the results and from what I have read over on Adlai’s blog there may still be a performance benefit in using the FOXIT.

The good news is that just like the 32bit Adobe iFilter the 64bit version is free.
