I’m extremely pleased to say that (as the others have noted) the November CTP of DSL Tools for the RTM version of Visual Studio 2005 is now available at our workshop page’s shiny new URL:
- Validation of Constraints in Designers. This version of the DSL Tools allow you to define constraints and validate them triggered by certain user interactions. If the constraint fails the user sees an entry in the task list with a user defined error message.
- Deployment of Designers. This version of the DSL Tools allow you to create a Microsoft Windows Installer (MSI) file and a setup.exe that allows you to deploy your designer to another Visual Studio installation (Visual Studio 2005 Standard Edition or above). The user just runs setup.exe with the generated file and gets the new designer installed.
As well as the usual complement of fixes and small improvements.
