Want to start developing for Windows Mobile, but don’t know where to start, and what material to consume to ramp up quickly?
Well, there are a couple of good resources on the Microsoft site, it’s just hard to find them, as usual 😉 Let me point out two of them that should make it easier to get up to speed.
- The "Learn Windows Mobile" introductory page in the Windows Mobile Developer Center gives a good overview of the basic terminology, and links to further resources where you can dig deeper into specific topics. (German readers: If you think there should be a German version of that page, please ping me.)
- The Microsoft Learning Center has a large collection of Windows Mobile-related online courses and one book which can also help you in getting certified for Windows Mobile development.
Apart from that, there are of course tons of technical articles, samples, webcasts, tutorials, etc., that any decent search engine will dig up for you. So, no excuses for not dealing with Windows Mobile programming!
