Hi...

as blogged before we did a little project here related to web hosting. As always you ask yourself: Are we doing the right thing??

Sometimes it is not easy to find proof points. I think I found a little one...

One of the first projects we worked with was Umbraco (see www.codeplex.com/umbraco)

The project lead used the little tool WAI (www.codeplex.com/wai) to build a MSI installer packet.

Now you can choose between the code tarball (which is a ZIP but I am an old fashioned guy...) or the MSI. Guess what... the MSI was downloaded 70k+ times while the tarball 13k+ times.

Yes!!!! We did the right thing!!!

Currently we are working on a central distribution point for packages.
