Tech.Ed Brings Together Folks from Everywhere

More data surfing.

So far, we have looked at the Names of Tech.Ed 2007 and the male/female distribution, and comparing this year's Tech.Ed with the last 2.

Now, let's look at where folks are coming from.

 2007 2006  2005
ACT  12.84%   12.11% 13.25%
NSW  27.21% 41.55% 23.39%
NT  0.39% 0.43% 0.82%
QLD  23.87% 15.13% 24.68%
SA 5.95% 6.27% 6.30%
TAS 1.77% 1.20% 1.30%
VIC 21.65% 16.56% 19.20%
WA 4.48% 5.17% 4.48%
Overseas 1.82% 1.58% 0.15%

You would thinking that QLD would have the larger mix of attendees, since it's on the Gold Coast, but that's not true this year. Great to see the support from Tassie slowly growing.

    Hey Frank,

Do you happen to have the 2004 data?

It’d be interesting to see if attendance patterns for NSW (41%!?) were just a once-off, or simply because some of us don’t like to go up to QLD 🙂

nope – dont have past data. sorry.

however, i can tell you that

    2006 sydney

    2005 gold coast

    2004 was canberra

    2003/2002 was brisbane

    2001 was melbourne

which explains the high nsw numbers in 2006

In Sydney Last year there seemed to be a Hundred or so folk just for the SBS Sessions on a day ticket? To my mind there would be a 4% spike in NSW numbers right there or am I just wishful thinking SBSers have any impact.

Is there another group trying for a Cabana Day like SBSers did last year? I know there is not much SBS Presence this year, and a bit surprised that Centro is not getting a look in either.
