14 years at Microsoft


My first post for a very long time, as I have been recovering from surgery.


Today is the anniversary of when I started my career at Microsoft – 14 years!


As I said last year, I’ve been really lucky, as I have done lots of different things, been exposed to different parts of the business, and seen it from different parts of the world. I have been very fortunate to work with some amazing people within Microsoft, as well as some outstanding organisations & people outside of Microsoft.

    In this day and age, it is amazing to hear that a person has worked in a company like Microsoft for a long time. I’m glad you have been able to do some of the things that you have mentioned above.

    I wonder whether you got into Microsoft and developed interest in what they do or was it the other way around, where you knew exactly what you wanted to do and joined Microsoft to achieve the same?

  2. Congratulations. I am coming up to my 30th Birthday and 9th year with Progress Software and just relised today that thats almost a Third of my life working for progress. Real interesting to think about that.

    I remember the first day i met frank – he had hair on the top of his head but he was still a manly man…
