Will .Net 2.0 and SQL Server 2005 be supported by Virtual PC on a Macintosh.

I get a few "interesting" questions each week, but this has gotta be the winner of the year so far. I have removed the name to protect the innocent and those bolding & underlines were put in by the author of the email.

I am not confident of this answer "shouldn' t be an issue" .  I need real answers to base real business decisions on.

.Net 2.0 and SQL Server 2005 can run on Windows 2000, Windows XP, plus server editions of these Operating Systems.

I tried to install SQL Server 2005 beta on a Windows XP image using Virtual PC on a Macintosh, it failed to install.  Based on the response below, it should work.

My question is whether .Net 2.0 and SQL Server 2005 will be supported by Virtual PC on a Macintosh.

Thanks and regards

It might have to do with english not being my native language, but I don’t get it – whats so interesting about this question?

Why is that not a perfectly legitimate question? MS makes Virtual PC. I’m sure SQL Server won’t be fast running under emulation, but why shouldn’t it run? Sounds like a bug in Virtual PC to me.

Maybe I’m missing something totally obvious, but what’s wrong with the question? What’s the asnwer to it?
