A Melbourne-based software outfit has come up with a tool for getting rid of the bloat on Windows systems and literally cutting one’s system down to size.

  1. It would be nice though if microsoft would also start cutting down on the system code, like starting to throw away some of the old stuff. More and more DLLs land in system32, and more and more of them get loaded into memory. When I compare the memory use right after booting up between NT4 and XP, it gives me the shudder. Granted, there’s new functionality in XP, but still ;/
