Tell us if your application works on Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2

I have been blogging about compatibility of late and this week will be in a Windows 7 Compatibility Lab with Dave Allen (who I interviewed). Customers are rightly concerned about compatibility when rolling out a new Operating System release. It is important that they can easily find if individual applications work on Windows 7 and that is where you can help. If you are a software publisher (or indeed hardware vendor) then please take some time to tell us about your products over on the Windows 7 Compatibility Center. Tell us if they work, tell us if they will work in the future and just as importantly, tell us if they don’t work.

You can submit your products using a web form or an Excel template. For your submission to qualify, you must:

  • Be a representative of the software publisher or device manufacturer.
  • Know the current or future support plan on Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2 for the product you are submitting.
  • Provide complete information we can verify (please use your corporate e-mail address for the validation process).

We then review your submission and verify the information. Qualifying products will be published in the Windows 7 Compatibility Center or the Windows Server Catalog. Thanks in advance for your help.
