Oh no…. my poll is going entirely wrong!!!

My poll is showing completely the wrong results.

Surely there can not be more Amiga fans in the UK than Atari?!

Did they all appear after I left my Atari for dead and replaced it with BSD Unix?

Or … does it just prove my point. The Amiga guys always felt under siege as the minority and therefore feel compelled to vote 20 years on 🙂

  1. All the Amiga guys went onto become developers and read blogs, the Atari guys all work in a fast food chain, or maybe they went to open source and don’t read Microsoft Blogs 🙂

Well, I never even had an Atari, so I’m bound to vote Amiga! 🙂

Then again, there’s always been something about the Amiga that’s made it special – perhaps it was the developer community that formed in its heyday.

Whatever it was, I wonder how many people not only own a working Atari compared to those with working Amigas, but how many actively use it? There’s your next poll, Eric!

(mea Culpa – I’ve got several working Amigas, but they only tend to get turned on sporadically since I moved all my Lightwave work to the PC – would you believe I had to revisit a 15 YEAR OLD animation project recently!)
