Wow - WPF meets the Enterprise!

One of the challenges we have had when working with UK ISVs on Windows Presentation Foundation is to get them to think about the user interface as anything other than a gray canvas onto which you drop lots of labels, text boxes and buttons. It has been tough. Not least because my entire team comes from a world in which we built applications which were a gray canvas onto which you drop lots of labels, text boxes and buttons :-)

Which leads me nicely to this great example of a line of business application which has really benefited from the use of WPF. Just imagine trying to do this in Windows Forms or with GDI. I think Long Zeng does a great summary of why it impresses and the details can be found over at Frog Design who worked with Lawson Software to create the new user interface and they have also posted a short screencast.
