Microsoft Surface - beautiful

Last week while I was enjoying a few days in Paris, we announced the Surface, a new line of consumer products. The video is well worth a watch to see just how far Surface changes the end user experience. I especially liked the piece on the history of the surface (starting out as an IKEA table with a hole cut out of the top!). The videos look too cool to be real - but this is a real product built using a variant of Windows Vista and uses Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) for the user experience. It shows how WPF can change the rules...

In case you are still wondering - Surface turns  "an ordinary tabletop into a vibrant, dynamic surface that provides effortless interaction with all forms of digital content through natural gestures, touch and physical objects. Beginning at the end of this year, consumers will be able to interact with Surface in hotels, retail establishments, restaurants and public entertainment venues."
