Looking to do things a little better every time? Retrospectives

I heard of Retrospectives a few years back but only had the opportunity to hear first hand how powerful they can be last year at https://www.spaconference.org/spa2006/. I am two weeks away from attending (and delivering) at SPA 2007 and in the thick of "if only as a team we could do things a little better every tim". This lead me to have a swift look to see if any new books were around on Retrospectives - and sure enough I came across Agile Retrospectives: Making Good Teams Great. The book is intended for agile coaches and team leads who want to apply retrospectives. The pdf sample seemed plenty good enough to make it useful. Interestingly in my travels I am yet to find an ISV using Retrospectives - unless that ISV is building with Java. Hmmm. I would love to hear your experiences if you are an ISV using .NET that is a practioner of Retrospectives.

In case you were wondering - Retrospectives are essentially where the team asks the question: "What worked?" and "What do we want to do different?" - and discuss these "without blame". Based on these questions they create concrete actions which they will do during the next phase.
