Microsoft Design tools for WPF Explained

Following on from the event last week I did on WinFX, I have had a few people ask me "hey Eric, nice that you can do so much by just editing the XAML - but what exactly are Microsofts plans around designers for WPF".

We will have two designers - currently codename Sparkle and Cider. Cider is the developer focused tool that will be in the next major release of Visual Studio and Sparkle is the complimentary tool for User Experience designers to work with. I started to write some more with links etc and then discovered this rather perfect explanation https://blogs.msdn.com/mswanson/archive/2005/10/24/484502.aspx - check out the videos and streaming content - all well worth a watch.
