Ever fancied a relational file system for Windows? Introducing WinFS Beta One
When we first started talking about Longhorn (now Windows Vista), one of the key pillars was the WinFS file system. For a number of reasons we pulled this technology out of Longhorn but the development team continued to work hard on delivering a great replacement for NTFS. At the end of August we released Beta One of WinFS and this week at the PDC in Los Angeles we will be showing thousands of developers just how exciting this technology is for data rich applications.
