Class room based training can be good - honest! SQL Server 2005 development in 5 days - day 2...

This week I am lucky enough to be on a five day training course for SQL Server 2005 delivered by Niels Berglund https://sqljunkies.com/WebLog/nielsb/. The course has been created for early adopters we are working with - but shares a lot of content and structure with the course DevelopMentor can deliver publicly https://www.develop.com/uk/training/course.aspx?id=180.

I have a built in aversion to class room based training - because, to put it simply, it is often very, very poor. This is absolutely not the case here. A tremendous amount of research has been carried out on SQL Server 2005 to deliver great content - and Niels understands it completely. Marvellous. I therefore would highly recommend the DevelopMentor delivered training to any company looking to get developers skilled up on the new features of SQL Server 2005 - everything from XML and CLR integration to TSQL enhancements and Service Broker.

I hope to find some time this week to share some of the bits and bobs that catch my attention during the course.
