A short little ride

I wrote about the Seattle Randoneeur group last fall when they did the Populaire.

And I think I probably wrote something about the relative insanity of riding a 1000K course.

So, how about 2519 miles in 22 days down the continental divide on a single-speed mountain bike?

  1. It’s worth noting too that Kent rode to the start from his house in Issaquah.  And, about 4 days after he got back, he met me and a few other people for coffee & stories in the U District… he made a 40+ mile round trip (from Issaquah & back) on that same singlespeed bike, less than a week after finishing that race, just for coffee.  Kent is the real deal.
