The size of a house...

What do you do if you need to move a 200 ton, 9.8 m diameter spectrometer 400 km between two german towns, but the roads are too small?

Well, you send it 9000 km through the mediterranean sea, and then through Romania, Hungary, and Vienna.

All part of an experiment to measure the mass of the electron neutrino.

There's a nice page with pictures of the transport, and a video (download it first as it's slow to fetch) that shows the journey through German towns.

Oh, and I want a set of those motorized dollies they use for transport. I have no use for them, and I'm sure they cost millions, but I still want them.
