Ad Homonym: The practice of attacking a person rather than the argument itself merely because it is expressed in words that sound alike.

  1. The y does not exist in latin nor does the conjugation ‘ym’. It is supposed to be latin. Here is the correct latin version:

    Ad Homin_em_

    Ad is roughtly equal to ‘at’ and requires the object of ‘at’ to be in conjungtion accusativus.

    Homo(, Homines) means a ‘man’ or a ‘person’.

    The accusativus singularis is -em. (Homin-em)

    At the man. (Ad hominem)
