Feel free to ping me if you have any questions. I hope to see you helping out in the C# space. 🙂

I like the way forums tend to impose a degree of structure (I mean according to topic) on posts – it makes it much easier to find something you might actually be interested in.

Newsgroups suffer from a very high noise to signal ratio, with all the posts from maturity-challenged individiduals who think spelling "Microsoft" or "MS" with dollar signs is the height of wit, as well as a fairly constant supply of "Tell me exactly how to write my program from beginning to end" contibutions.

But maybe I’m only being grumpy because I just sneezed.

Anyway, I think the forums are a good move.

  3. Count me as the only one who prefers NNTP over web forums, I guess.

If I have to get out of Outlook to read it, I’m not going to. It’s as simple as that.

Is Visual C# the C# space? Why is it called Visual C#? Is that a different language from C#, just like Visual C++ was a different language from C++ (MFC compatibility, in so many ways…)?

I do hope that forum’s name gets changed.

  5. ericgu says:

Visual C# is the name of the entire product – the language, the IDE, etc.

C# is the name of the language by its lonesome
