Why Use VSTO?

Chris Kunicki has a great blog entry on why to use VSTO.  This post is several weeks old, but still worth the link.

There is a lot of value in VSTO 1.0--I've been blogging a lot about VSTO 2.0, but I will try to add some more information about VSTO 1.0 since it's out there now and hopefully you're using it now.

I don’t see how that should possibly convince me to move from VBA to VSTO.

If I owned the company I work for, it would terrify me. I would probably make a policy decision that MS Office programming would not be allowed.

Who would want to change the environment every few years?
