CRM 2011 Outlook Client - Content of views is lost upon second call

Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 Outlook Client:

Go to your Dynamics CRM 2011 Outlook views like “active contacts” and “active accounts”

RESULT:

Views like 'Active contacts" and "active accounts" are empty upon refresh, or second call e.g. when clicking on another entity and go back to contact/account entity

These side effects have been observed:

Checking the CRM Client version in control panel, showed the Critical Update for UR11 installed.

Uninstalling and re-installing a higher UR didn't result in the higher UR being shown in control panel, programs, view installed updates.

And

When trying to run the CRM diagnostics tool, an AppCrash was thrown

CAUSE:

Critical Update for UR11 wasn't installed successfully by Windows Update causing a version mismatch.

In special, it might be installed if UR11 was missing beforehand.

RESOLUTION:

1. Uninstall Dynamics CRM Client

2. Uncheck the "Give me updates for Microsoft products and check for new optional Microsoft software when I update Windows" option in Control Panel -> Windows Update -> Change Settings and install the client with any updates manually.

3. Reinstall Dynamics CRM Client

4. Install current CRM update rollup

The fix for this will also be in Update Rollup 16 for Dynamics CRM 2011.
