Exchange 2010 Support with CRM 4.0 Email Router

With the release of Microsoft CRM 4.0 Rollup 8 we extended our support to cover Exchange 2010 beside Exchange 2007 and Exchange 2003.

The below scenario will explain how to configure your CRM e-mail router when you have users that belong to the same organization but with their mailboxes hosted on different Exchange servers (2003, 2007, 2010)

We have 3 CRM users:

User1 is Exchange 2003 with a mailbox hosted on Exchange 2003

User2 is Exchange 2007 with a mailbox hosted on Exchange 2007

User3 is Exchange 2010 with a mailbox hosted on Exchange 2010

Exchange 2003 supports only WEBDAV so we will create an incoming profile specific for Exchange 2003

Exchange 2007 supports both WEBDAV and Web-Services so we will create a separate incoming profile for Exchange 2007

Exchange 2010 supports only Web-Services so we will create one last incoming profile for Exchange 2010

In total we will have 3 incoming profiles each one for a specific Exchange version

Now we will specify for each user its incoming profile
