January 2012 Optional Updates are on ECE for Standard 7

The January 2012 Optional Updates are now available on the ECE site for Windows Embedded Standard 7

The list below applies to Windows Embedded Standard 7 SP1 with Windows Media Center for Connected Media Devices installed, and fixes the following issues:

  • KB2639582 - A vulnerability in Windows Media Center could allow Remote Code Execution
  • KB2650113 - A vulnerability in Windows Media Center could allow Remote Code Execution
  • KB2650114 - A vulnerability in Windows Media Center could allow Remote Code Execution
  • KB2654268 - The picture may not be rotated in Media Center with certain streams

 The list below applies to Windows Embedded Standard 7 and Windows Embedded Standard 7 SP1, and fixes the following issues:

  • KB2649672 - Fraudulent Digital Certificates could allow spoofing
  • KB2645895 - Users get a security message continuously on many executables that start up with FBWF enabled
  • KB2502664 - VIA multi-core CPUs are not recognized correctly
